Tracy Allison Kenny Empson Bob Juarez Bob Cassidy-McDowell… these musicians make up the newest country and rock band in Kansas City. With diverse backgrounds ranging from Swing to Jazz to Country to Rock, Tracy, Kenny and the Bobs formed in Stanley, Kansas.  Their only intent was to play a broad range of music for their musical satisfaction and the entertainment of families and friends.  At the urging of these audiences the band agreed to take their act out of Stanley and onto the KC music scene.  Adopting the moniker “Sam Hill Band” the foursome focused their musical work on classic rock and modern country.  From toe-tappers to all night dancers, this eclectic range of music will satisfy any taste.   The diversity of their music is demonstrated with a sample of their songs:

Beatles – “Please Please Me”                Monkees – “I’m a believer”

Merle Haggard – “Mama Tried”              Trick Pony – “Poor Me”

Eric Clapton – “Badge”                           John Cougar – “Under The Boardwalk”

Dixie Chicks – “Cold Day in July”             Martina McBride – “God Fearing Women”

Eagles – “Already Gone”                        Doobie Brothers – “China Grove”

Band Biography

       Tracy Allison

Vocals, Acoustic Guitar, Percussion

Tracy Allison has been a solo artist for most of her career.  Her natural melodic vocal styling was developed through jam sessions and sitting in with other musicians.  Tracy is a veteran recording artist in the Nashville circuit, which includes vocal contributions in the United Artists soundtrack,  “The Prince of Egypt” and The Peculiar Sound Studio release  “Even Faeries Get the Blues”.  Two years ago Tracy created the Tracy Allison Band to focus entirely on Country music – her first love.  Although her band is still intact, Tracy joined the Sam Hill Band to expand her creative ambitions.  Tracy Allison adds softness to the rocking edge of the band that compliments each cover tune and especially enhances the group’s original numbers.
